TikTok Ads Now Have AI Avatars of Creators and Stock Actors
TikTokers will soon be getting a new experience when it comes to the content they view, as TikTok has announced that it is introducing generative AI avatars of creators and stock actors for branded content and ads on the platform.
The generative AI avatars are available in two varieties: stock or custom. Stock avatars are based on paid actors from a diverse range of backgrounds, nationalities, and languages. They are also available for commercial use.
Custom avatars, meanwhile, are created to resemble a specific creator or a brand influencer and speak multiple languages — allowing the accounts that utilize them to reach foreign audiences while retaining a specific likeness.
This new feature will be available as part of the AI-powered ad creation tool called "TikTok Symphony" released earlier by TikTok to empower brands and streamline their ad creation process.
TikTok also launched a new AI Dubbing tool that will allow creators and brands to translate their content into 10 languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. The tool automatically detects the language in a video and then transcribes and translates the content to produce a dubbed video in the preferred language.
The social media giant believes that these avatars will give businesses a way to humanize their content. Interestingly, it also revealed that 61% of users have made a purchase either directly on TikTok or after seeing the ad. It is also confident that the new AI Dubbing tool will allow brands and creators to communicate with global audiences.
So far, TikTok has continued to release new features and provide new ways for creators and businesses on the platform to have a better real-time experience, despite the potential ban in the U.S. hanging over its head should its parent company, ByteDance, fail to sell the app soon.
