TikTok is expanding Resso, its music streaming service globally
TikTok's parent company ByteDance has reportedly begun talks with global music labels in order to expand Resso, its music streaming service globally, as it looks to compete with Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.
The music streaming service, which is currently available in India, Indonesia and Brazil, is on the verge of being launched in more than a dozen additional markets, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources.
ByteDance says it would integrate the music service within TikTok, making it easier for its over 1 billion users to discover and distribute music around the world.
