Solar-based internet and voice service provider Tizeti is planning to go public on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, as it expands its operations across anglophone and francophone countries in West Africa in the coming months.

  • The company, which currently operates in Nigeria and Ghana, is planning to expand to more cities within Nigeria and Ghana, and into new markets including Cote d’Ivoire and Togo.
  • Tizeti boasts over 2.8 million subscribers on its platform, and a revenue of over N11 billion over the past ten years.
  • The company provides affordable unlimited internet service using solar towers which it claims has brought about 30-50 percent cost savings on data cap plans for its customers.
  • Boasting over 3884 hotspot locations with one tower built every month since it was founded in 2011, Tizeti delivers over 190TBPS of data a day, which is about 20% of what Airtel, the second largest telco with coverage in 36 states delivers.
