U.S.-based tech entrepreneur, Rebecca Enonchong was arrested in Cameroon
Rebecca Enonchong, 54, a Cameroonian-born technology entrepreneur, based in the U.S. was arrested in Douala, Cameroon on Tuesday and detained at the Gendarmerie Legion.

According to Kah Walla, the leader of the Cameroon People's Party (CPP), Enonchong was arrested and detained without a warrant - following "a complaint by the local Attorney General," - for 'outrage' against himself, until Wednesday before being transferred to the Tribunal de 1er Instance Bonanjo, in Douala.
Enonchong is the founder and CEO of AppsTech and is best known for her work promoting technology in Africa.
