VSCO Launches Marketplace to Connect Photographers With Brands

Photographers can now look forward to connecting more with brands and companies as VSCO is launching a marketplace called VSCO Hub that will serve as a medium where both parties can meet and connect.

The VSCO Hub would be similar to other platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, which already offer creator marketplaces where photographers and brands can discover and partner with each other.

The CEO of VSCO, Eric Wittman, has confirmed that he aims to solve the problem of finding and hiring talents and believes that the VSCO Hub will be just like LinkedIn, with brands acting as recruiters and photographers acting as prospective talents for hire.

As a photographer, you can access the VSCO Hub for a fee, while brands will need to register with their business accounts and pay a fee to use all available resources on the platform.

Interestingly, VSCO does not take a cut from the project payments and just acts as a connection layer. It also has filters like location, category, price, and availability that brands can use to narrow down their search for photographers.

Presently, VSCO's Pro plan has over 160,000 subscribers, per data from TechCrunch, including photographers who can access VSCO Hub to connect with brands. We expect the platform to surpass this figure as more photographers across the globe take advantage of the platform's resources to meet brands who share their creative vision.
