Google Pixel Phones May Soon Introduce Satellite SOS Feature

Truecaller Launches Call Recording for Premium Users in India

Following its U.S. launch, Truecaller, a leading caller identification service, has launched its call recording and transcription features for its premium users in India, its largest market.

But unlike its implementation in the U.S., receivers won't hear a beep sound when recording begins, enhancing user experience, thanks to regulatory differences. Priced at ₹79 ($0.95) per month or ₹529 per year ($6.38), Truecaller is looking to incentivise its premium plan adoption with this feature.

On Android, Truecaller's dialer displays a dedicated recording button, while on iOS, users need to initiate the call, access the "Record a call" feature within the Truecaller app, and manually merge the calls to commence recording due to Apple's CallKit restrictions.
