WhatsApp unveils event feature for community group chats
Meta’s messaging app, WhatsApp has again made waves in the social media landscape as it unveils a new feature for users to create events in community groups.
This feature launch signals WhatsApp's growth to become a more useful app after its Android 2.24.9.20 update release.
In a recent screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the attention of beta testers was drawn to this new feature within their community group chats. However, it is expected that when this feature is available, the option will directly appear within the attachment panel to initiate events easily.

Despite WhatsApp being criticized over the years for being hard to use, the company has been overhauling its app to make it more modern and flexible for users to use.
In anticipation of the event feature in the coming weeks, the tech giant is also considering expanding this feature to regular group chats which are currently restricted to communities, a move that highlights WhatsApp's strategic improvements in the social media landscape.
