You may soon be able to talk with Meta AI through voice messages on WhatsApp
If your thumbs ever feel numb while typing, or you simply have more to say than your thumbs can type, a new feature from WhatsApp could be quite useful, thanks to Meta AI.
Imagine having a full-blown conversation with a robot, and all you need is your phone and a whole lot of errr...weird questions. Probably not the future we all dreamed of, but it's certainly the future we didn't expect.
Before now, conversations with Meta AI on WhatsApp were limited to text and images, but users may soon be able to talk to their phone – yup, through voice messages.
A screenshot shared by WaBetaInfo gives us a sneak peek of what it might look like, featuring a voice message button appearing right in the Meta AI chat interface on WhatsApp, similar to how it works in regular conversations you have on the messaging app.
We don't know which languages would be available when this feature is released to the public, but with Meta AI's multi-language support available in 22 countries worldwide, expect it to have popular languages in India, where the app is quite popular and is ranked with the largest audience worldwide, with almost 500 million users, per data from eMarketer.
By bridging the gap between spoken language and artificial intelligence, this feature could forever change the way we interact with technology. Whether it's seeking quick information, getting creative writing ideas, or simply having a casual chat, the ability to speak naturally to an AI assistant within a familiar platform is mind-boggling.
