YouTube creators now have a new and easier way to promote their content, as YouTube has announced that it is testing new QR codes to enable them to share their channels and work.

This comes after YouTube earlier announced that it was testing an AI-generated background Shorts feature called "Dream Screen" that will allow creators to have AI-generated images and videos as their videos’ backgrounds.

Now Google wants creators to be able to share their content as much as they like through QR codes that will backlink to their YouTube channels.

Interestingly, these QR codes are still in the testing phase, and only select creators have access to this feature on their channels at the moment.

YouTube Introduces New Shopping Features to Help Boost Creators’ Earnings
With YouTube’s new shopping features, creators can now better curate shoppable products for their followers and increase their earnings on the platform.

If you are lucky enough to be one of the selected creators, you will be able to access the QR codes once you go to the "You" tab in the YouTube app, and then tap on "Share your channel" to see more options. After this, a QR code option will now be added to the pop-up menu, along with an option to share the generated code.

Your viewers can also be of benefit to you once they click on the "Share" button on your channel and select the QR code among the list of options to help share your content both online and offline.

Google also confirmed that it will keep the public informed when it decides to officially expand the feature to other YouTube creators in the future.

Going by these developments, it seems Google is determined to refine the user experience for over 61.8 million creators globally, per data from DemandSage and everyday viewers. We believe that this is also a snippet of how YouTube could shape up in the future as Google continues to embrace AI and its capabilities even more.
