Sports viewers can now access more options as YouTube has announced a "Multiview" feature that lets users watch four live games simultaneously on their Android phones and tablets.

This comes after YouTube launched the feature for TV devices in March last year after it noticed that sports viewers could not watch more than one live game at a time without constantly changing channels.

Now, YouTube has decided to bring the feature to Android devices and tablets making it easy for people to watch their favorite sports on the go.

All you need to do is update to the latest version of your YouTube TV app. From there, you should see the option in the "Top Picks for You" or "Watch in multiview" rows.

A notable mention is that while YouTube isn't the only platform to have the "Multiview" feature as Apple and Peacock also released theirs last year, it is the only platform for now that lets you access the functionality on your mobile devices and tablets.

However, you can only use this feature to live-stream sports channels as you cannot do the same for other things like TV shows or movies. The good news is that YouTube is now making the feature more customizable and Google has promised to offer more options soon.

For now, over 8 million subscribers globally, per data from Variety who watch YouTube TV can continue to enjoy multi-streaming their favorite sports on their mobile devices pending when the option for other channels becomes available.

Separately, the video platform recently shipped a feature that uses AI to help viewers skip to the good parts of videos.
