Described as a "smart companion" that uses the power of artificial intelligence to make your meetings and chats even better, it is following in the footsteps of its rivals like Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, to step up its game.
The first feature of Zoom IQ is a game-changer for meeting productivity. Ever missed a call? This clever assistant can generate meeting summaries for you, which can be easily shared via Zoom Team Chat and email, eliminating the need for recording the entire conversation. Hosts will also receive automatic summaries for convenient sharing or archiving.
The second feature is designed to make communication effortless. If you're familiar with ChatGPT, Bard, or other AI writers, you'll love this functionality. It will assist you to generate messages based on the context of a conversation, improving tone, grammar, and overall appropriateness.
Zoom also claims additional features like composing tools for emails, making use of context from Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone calls, and other threads are in the pipeline. It also plans to roll out support for late call joiners to submit a query about what they have missed, with AI-generated responses.
Behind all this cutting-edge technology is Zoom's own proprietary LLMs, alongside models from companies like OpenAI, and input from select customers.
